Living in Iowa City/ New Apartment

So life is finally getting settled in Iowa City and I am loving it more and more each day. My apartment is great (although a little cold at times, I just keep telling myself spring will be here before I know it) Work is also great, everyone is so friendly there and I love all the stuff there. Which poses a problem but I have been so good about not buying anything. Nikki isn't around much during the weekdays, she is busy with her classes, research study work, job at the hospital, and new volunteer job.

I have been occupying myself with small tasks that I have wanted to get stuff done and also watching Friends. There is also a lot to do in Iowa City and I have so many friends I already know and can do stuff with. Still looking for a internship but just handed out a few more resumes and have my fingers crossed. I took some pictures of my apartment so here they are! This first two are of my bedroom. The best investment in here has been my electric blanket on my bed! I can't believe I waited until I was 22 to get one! The next picture is of my bathroom. Super cute and turns out my new bedding set matches the bathroom set. Nikki and I's apartment has 1.5 baths so the only thing she uses my bathroom for is the shower, otherwise she uses her own bathroom to get ready and everything. The next one is of the living room. We are borrowing Todd's sofas until he needs them. We watch mainly 3 channels when we watch TV, 27, 37, and 47 (that is MTV, VH1 and HGTV) Nikki doesn't have much time to watch TV but we have our few shows that we usually watch weekly. Also in the living room houses what we like to call our workout area... not that we have used it much, but the intention is there. The ab lounger we use sometimes when we watch TV, we figure we might as well workout when watch TV. Next is our kitchen, which I think is one of the best things about our apartment. It is so huge and it has a walk in pantry!! Off of the kitchen is also a small deck (Nikki says she doesn't like to go on it though cause it has spiders all over) but it overlooks to the parking lot in the back where we usually park. There is plenty of room for the table in the kitchen but we never use it since we usually (always) eat in the living room. We usually eat at different times anyway.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures! It is home sweet home for now. We are actually already looking for our next place. I guess we are going to move more into Coralville because rent gets cheaper and the apartments then also include pools and workout rooms. We are also looking for a three bedroom apartment because Nikki's friend from work needs a place as well and they are both going into nursing so they will have a lot of the same classes.
